An Introduction to Conservatories

Realising your dream conservatory

As when making any major investment, extensive research, careful planning and engaging the services of an expert will help achieve your dreams.

Making the right choices throughout the process – from picking your conservatory’s design and raw materials, to selecting the team that will work with you, to adding your finishing touches – will mean minimal disruption to your day-to-day life and ultimate satisfaction with your new room. This is particularly true if you have what could be called a ‘difficult site’, eg a single-storey building with low eaves, which would mean having to ‘create a gable’ at a suitable height to be able to accept a pitched roof and/or needing to redirect rainwater from the main roof to the conservatory roof.

We would, therefore, recommend hiring a professional conservatory contractor, having obtained at least three quotations for the work.

Don’t forget, if your extension needs planning permission, a specialist supplier can deal with that on your behalf.
